The Silicon Valley, known as The Valley of the Heart’s Delightfor itshigh concentration of orchards, flowering trees, and beautiful botanical qualities, is where Kim Richman calls home. Throughout her childhood and adult life, Kim has contributed to and experienced many of the area’s diverse communities, having lived in Sunnyvale, Blossom Valley, Morgan Hill, Los Gatos, and Monte Sereno.
Kim has seen the Silicon Valley’s transformation from an agricultural farming community to what now is considered the world’s leading hub of technology and innovation. Her understanding of the valley’s rich and dynamic history allows Kim a deep appreciation for the importance of community, while also giving her a unique understanding of the subtle differences and benefits each neighborhood provides.
Since beginning her real estate career in 1990, Kim has transformed her love and knowledge of the area and natural client focused abilities into a tremendous resume of responsible real estate sales. She has represented Sellers and Buyers from diverse demographic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Throughout her career, she has associated with some of the area’s most prestigious real estate brokerages both as a sales associate and manager. In 1996, she was asked to lead Contempo Realtors’ prestigious Saratoga Office and, during her time there, created one of the brand’s most dynamic and productive sales teams. Kim was recognized as one of the company’s most dynamic leaders and the source of Century 21 Seville Contempo’s success in the very competitive Saratoga marketplace.
Early in 2001, Kim made the decision to return to personal sales and joined the Coldwell Banker Los Gatos office, where she immediately re-established herself as one of the area’s top Realtors. She often credits her time as Century 21’s Saratoga manager as giving her specialized understanding of the many potential complexities of the escrow process and how best to manage and solve those issues with thoughtful decisiveness.
In 2009, Kim was asked to join Sereno Group Real Estate, one of the Silicon Valley’s most successful high-end boutique brokerages. Started in 2006, Sereno Group’s sales team is made up of the marketplaces most successful and reputable Realtors and has quickly established itself as one of the most recognized brands in the greater Santa Clara valley. Sereno Group was naturally attracted to Kim, given her sales history and impeccable reputation and the company was honored when she accepted.
Since joining Sereno Group, Kim has contributed to the company’s strong culture as both a Realtor and leader. The example she sets creates the continuing standard of excellence the company strives for. This combined with her kindness, enthusiasm, and keen business sense has made Kim an invaluable part of Sereno Group’s journey. Kim has just accepted an award as the National Association of Professional Woman’s VIP Woman of the Year in real estate as well as the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR) designations .
Kim is actively involved and committed to children’s growth and education by having served as a past board member & business partner of the Los Gatos Education Foundation, a chair person for the Los Gatos parcel tax initiative, directly benefiting the Los Gatos School District, and a business partner with the Saratoga Education Foundation. She has also volunteered her time and sponsors the Girls on the Run, the American Cancer Society, the Los Gatos-Saratoga Girls Softball League, Jazz on the Plazz and the YMCA. She presently lives in Monte Sereno with her husband, Mark, son, Chad and daughter, Karly.
